When I try to connect to my wifi the system hangs for a minute then reboots
the card is a mini PCI (not Mini PCI-e) if that helps
I may be wrong, but it’s good practice to provide as much information as possible. For example your current hardware, Haiku version, information like that.
the computer I have it on is a Dell Inspiron 6000 with an Intel Centrino as the processor. The problem started when I updated the operating system to the latest version.
You will have to be more specific than that. What was the previous version number? What’s the latest version number? Which driver specifically (the name given in Network preferences’ list view)? Etc.
so I searched for my previous version in my archive of information that I keep in a notebook and it says at the earliest I had installed beta 3 on it
The device is a iprowifi2200/0
Device/type:0x2
Device/subtype:0x80
Device/interface:0x0
Device/vendor:0x8086
Device/id:0x4223
Driver legacy_v1
This looks like a bug in the iprowifi2200
driver, or maybe the FreeBSD net80211 stack. Unfortunately this driver isn’t so well maintained in FreeBSD anymore, so I’m not sure about a fix… You might as well open a ticket though.
Just tested with beta 5 and that fixed it
