Intel GMA 4500: VGA/DVI

Hi,

i want to use the wet weekend for configuring my internal video issue. It’s an Core 2 Duo vintage desktop with the Intel Q45 motherboard and a GMA 4500 chipset (according to my knowledge). VGA is working perfectly, DVI is working for the boot intro only or in VESA-mode.
I’ve found only very old topics in the forum and the bug tracker.
Do we have a workaround now or what i’m doing wrong?

The driver is incomplete and DVI may simply not be working yet. Probably nothing wrong on your side unless you want to start reading Intel docs and figure out the process of setting up a DVI port to display something.
