Okay, I tried is out on my trusty Mac Mini G4 and it boots to desktop!!!
However, the mouse is not working at all. I can see the activity is doing something. But nothing is seemingly working in the USB bus.
@omgmonsters is there anything I can do to get you feedback? Have you managed to get this to run on anything like a G4 MacMini?
I tried USB0 as USB1 seemed to be reported as being the way to go, but no - kernel panic
Keyboard doesn’t work in KDL either.
I have a new image almost ready that I think should work!
well at this point, when it’s finished and supported on ppc computers after some major refinement, just ask the Haiku Developers for it to become a mainstream version while also giving the compiled iso and source. it will definitely help some ppc only people, or prevent more E-Waste.

Main thing is the AI use policy. Basically no AI work allowed in the Haiku code.
This is a fork of the Haiku project. So, certain rules don’t apply unless upstreamed.

Crashes on boot if stick is in usb0
In usb1, it boots to desktop - the OS appears to be functioning (CPU Usage meter moved from time to time) but no keyboard or mouse input recognised (They are plugged into usb0 - if I use a hub on usb1, openfirmware wont accept the usb stick to boot from)
Yeah I believe those are the specs. Mine has maxed RAM I think. I wonder if the boot command needs to change if there’s a hub?

I have the following G4 mac-mini, will it work, it is model A1103:
- 1.25GHz PowerPC G4 processor
- 512K on-chip level 2 cache at full processor speed
- 167MHz system bus
- 512MB of PC2700 (333MHz) DDR SDRAM, expandable to up to 1GB
Changed usb port and then booted to desktop. No usb though, so no keyboard mouse.
Yeah this is the same as what I have. USB0 is kernel panic, no bootable volumes and USB1 is boots to desktop but no keyboard or mouse.

Neato! I just burned a physical CD and tried it in my Mac Mini A1103. It booted all the way to “PANIC: Did not find any boot partitions!” which I’d say is pretty good for a model I don’t think you’ve been directly testing with.
