How to create a new filetype for executing

how can i create a new filetype in the system to run a not supported program like “*.love” ?

I did that already for love2d in my patch, you can see it the other topic

I try you description on a other discussion, but then i change the .love file to “application/x-love-game”, then the file is not excetutable and i does not can look into it any more. I need this to add it to created love files over my IDE.
