I really don’t have any idea why I bother with this post, but I’ve always felt that it’s really unnecessary for the Status items to not show where they truly are.
This time I’m asking about the screensaver? Is it complete yet? If not, it’s a bit odd because I’ve seen checkins of it and it seems (excuse my lack of talent) that this piece ought to be easy to code and ought to completed by now. If so, why isn’t it showing as “Beta” in the status?
Just curious, and like always, love the work that’s happening with Haiku
Screensaver was the first thing Michael Phipps worked on, as a kind of proof-of-concept. I believe it was 80% finished, and then recently he had another blitz of work at it. There certainly shouldn’t be much work left to do - maybe the beta is waiting for integration with Haiku’s input_server or something, I don’t really know tbh.
AFAIK it’s done. I think more or less it’s just a matter of mphipps getting around to checking it in. Between work, family, and doing administrative stuff for Haiku, he tends to be more than a little busy.

Sounds great, but let’s hope he checks it in and put another pin in Beta Stage… from a third part view nothing really happens, but seeing pins in status moving would be nice I think.
