A Team Admin decision was reached to not host the HD Images under the Download section of our web site, until they are at a more stable level.
You can, of course, visit our Haiku Build Factory, to see the current build progress, issues and downloads of Jam Packages (drivers).
awww, I was looking forward to the next VPC image. I don’t really think people were expecting stability just yet. It just provides a nice way of seeing whats changed and kick the tires.

I think the “admin” decision was to prevent less-technical people from hunting down the images and trying them out only to be disappointed and criticize the project.
On the other hand, one could argue that even bad press is a good thing
Well imo it would be rather debateable if less-technical people would be even interested let alone capable of running a hard drive image. If anyone were to criticize the project I think the joke would be on them as everyone knows haiku is still at an alpha stage (correct me if I’m wrong).
the other issue was to do with the licenses … if someone checks out the full source, youll get all the licenses with the code.
Im currently going through the entire source, pulling out the individual licenses and joining into one long text page.
Ill be putting up some unofficial images (hosted by myself) today, including the new VPC image.
Thanks for that. Much appreciated.
it would be nice if you would provide for upcoming images just patches as those make much less traffic Of course as long as the number of people ready to patch is much higher than people ready to download full image
