Hi, it’s been a while since I started noticing that the system randomly hangs on shutdown using nightlies , stuck with the warning window “asking other processes to quit” and I have to hard reset in order to shutdown the system.
The log doesn’t seem to report anything unusual, is there any way to verbosely shut down the system?
It is known bug: #19530 (Rebooting broken by hrev58768).
This bug reproduced on my real hardware
i5-8400, GPU UHD 630, driver intel_extreme, wifi intel N-6235, monitor 24"/ 120Hz - DP cable, screenmode 1920х1080х32, ssd NVMe WD SN750, bios CSM/legacy enabled
It is unrelated problem and reported in separate bug: #18588 (keyboard and trackpad stop working when “power saving” is enabled in ProcessController).
Same problem, but just moving a little the mouse permits to go on reboot process.
Not for me, but I have my keyboard and mouse connected to a kvm switch, so I tried switching to the other machine when I reboot the haiku one, and I stopped experiencing the issue above
Luckily reason for general reboot issue (Nightly 64 bit)
in ticket #19530 (Rebooting broken by hrev58768) - above - was
also fixed by hrev58823 patchlevel.
Thanks, @waddlesplash !
