HaikuDepotServer + SSO User Linking

HaikuDepotServer (HDS) is starting on the path to use the Haiku Single Sign-on (SSO) service. As a first step, HDS users who have…

  • any administrative rights in HDS
  • provided any content; translations, screenshots, icons etc…
  • supplied any user ratings

…will need to link their HDS user with their corresponding SSO user. To do this, visit the following URL…

…and follow the instructions.

If you have an HDS user but don’t fall into the categories above then you don’t need to do anything.

Let me know in this thread if you are unsure what to do or are having difficulty; otherwise hopefully the temporary page “just works”.

I’ve pinned it.

I’m curious, I’ve never registered for the HDS service (since needing yet-another-account for potentially rating packages seemed “meh” to me). Is a SSO account now automatically a HDS account aswell? Also what “flow” will the desktop HaikuDepot application allow then to login? do we need the web-based flow? or can there be a nicer flow for this
