Haiku R1/beta4 RC0: Personal experience, reflections and grab bag

I dont know how this communication works in fact. I see no bluetooth interface on haiku. It just works.
On macos there’s a bluetooth applet on the control center.

I never had any apple device, this is probably managed by the computer firmware and not by Haiku itself. It would be interesting to see a syslog and some screenshots about the BT / Input preflets.

Sure. I’ll post them tomorrow on this thread.

Then it is presumably managed by the firmware of the machine for non-apple operating systems.

In fact this mac has opencore legacy patcher installed, a bootloader that replaces apple’s native bootloader in order to allow installing the latest macos ventura on this unsupported mac.
OCLP injects some drivers to make it possible, including a legacy bluetooth driver.
Maybe it is related to Haiku being able to see the underlying hardware, or maybr not.

Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse works since a long time out of the box with my iMac and Haiku.
I have reported this in 2019:

It still works with beta 4 out of the box.
