Haiku, R1/Beta3 - Test Candidate 1 availablilty

This has been mentioned several times before IIRC, only installing the “selected” language (and a fall-back for English) would be nice

looks like someone did it before https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/16207
@Begasus , you are right here too.

I’d like the base install to be as clean as possible… I’m proving that I’m quite capable of messing things up by myself later on

Regarding locales, I would like to set my own mix of locale formats for time, currency, date… there is no option for ISO date YYYY.MM.DD, which is the one I use
That is an option for “Custom” locale, so I could set time, time zone, language, time format, date format, currency,… Just thinking aloud…

RR

Any new EFI bootloader with the Haiku logo back when booting?

Uninstall the unneeded ones, they wont be reinstalled automatically.

I have only one.

I didn’t save the previous

And maybe also make that decide which fonts to include…

We should also fix the way we build the userguide packages. Right now they are rebuilt every single time we recompile haiku (so, everyday), when, in fact, they change a lot less often than that. If we fixed this, we would have a lot less updates to these files.
