Just a heads up. The latest update to VMware (personal edition) will not run Haiku VM’s.
Some kind of error that the VM crashed and only option is to report, restart or ignore.
Rolling back to the previous version (April 2024), is a workaround to this issue.
Maybe they are trying to get folks to update to a paid version?
Ok…some more information…
I rolled back to the previous version, as I said and all my Haiku VM’s worked (I have 3).
I then installed the update, hoping to send a “report” when it crashed. However, this time it worked.
So, I don’t know what’s going on. AFAIK, no other changes were made to my computer. I am running macOS (latest) on a late 2016 MBP, using OCLP (latest), if any of that info helps anyone.
