Haiku on iMac Mid 2010 27"

What works:

Display 2560x1440 Framebuffer , Performance is good
Wlan works but has sometimes Trouble connecting (Atheros)

What does not work:
Webcam, as expected
Sound unfortunatly does not work

Not tried:
Cardreader

Opensound worked on a late 2008 MacBook so you may give it a try

i tried it, installed, blacklisted the non oss audio drivers, log shows oss is loade
d, but still no sound and still hda shown in audio settings , do i have to do something additional

I may have wrote some OSS testing notes in the forums, but I remember this posting:

Driver may map to the headphone jack versus speaker output…

Have to look for headphones :headphones: to test that

Audio works on headphone jack, is there a possibility to switch to internal speakers?

I don’t think it’s possible with the available drivers. I never got speakers working on any Mac I tried.

If you ignore the speaker issue, this old imac is a great Haiku Hardware, it runs fast and responsive (First launch of programs can take a few seconds, i will have to replace the disk with an ssd;)
That screen is still great and i got the iMac for only 80 Euro
