haiku crash in booting stage while read the linux f2fs disk

PANIC: did not find any boot partition !
I’m not sure that the message could be improved to be more specific at this early stage.
But Haiku main partition has to be befs because of attributes and queries support.

The linux partition isn’t the cause of the crash here. The syslog output is just the end of the kernel listing all detected partitions and it then crashes as none are the boot partition.

Can you give more details on your setup? Are you trying to boot the installation usb/cd or are you booting post install?

weird

i do the same thing to another 4Gb USB-device.

then, it be ok.

my 64Gb USB-device, it can not work.

yes, i install haiku into USB-device.

Is the 64gb device a standard usb thumb drive or a more specialized storage device (e.g. ssd enclosure)?

Also have you tried the 64gb usb device in the same usb port that the 4gb one worked on?

The issue is that it cannot find the boot device. This could be because Haiku lacks a driver (or has a compatibility issue) for the device itself or the usb controller it is attached to. If the system has usb3 and usb2 ports make sure to try it in a usb2 port.

the 4Gb is usb3.0

the 64Gb is usb3.2

i insert them into the same usb3.0 port

Does the 64gb usb boot successfully on another computer? If it doesn’t boot on anything else it could be corrupted.

Also, you could try connecting it to another machine with Haiku to see if the os will recognise the device and its contents?
