Haiku and Load_Cycles

Currently I am running Haiku off a USB. I haven’t installed onto my NC10’s drive as I am still working towards a network link and a WP (with the help of the members here.)

What I would like to know is if any member who dual boots with a Linuxhas looked at disc Load_Cycles (parking and unparking of drive heads.) As some of you will be aware this a problem sometimes with Linux distro’s. I have cured this problem on my NC10. So I wouldn’t want to install Haiku and have the problem return. I would be interested in your thoughts and experiences.

I don’t know the answer, but I do not notice Haiku parking the heads at all unless I have requested the system to power down.

Thank you for replying.
