nipos adjusted Icon-O-Matic to open file panels in the same folder as the current file, fixed a bug in FontDemo that was preventing direct selection of font families, fixed Terminal to not change view sizes when changing font sizes, fixed text colors in Screen and ScreenSaver preferences, and more.
I used vertalen.nu/zinnen to translate your message since I don’t speak Spanish, so I may have misunderstood something from your message.
In any case to answer your query: Haiku is not sold, it is free (as in free beer).
In my experience companies when considering options want something to buy especially if the company is bigger. If you buy a license to a software you usually get a support contract.
If you want to make money with Haiku selling support could be an option, but you would need some developers to be able to actually fix problems in Haiku, integrate it into existing systems etc.
And leaving all that aside Haiku is beta software and shouldn’t be trusted with your data if you depend on it, and it’s security is very weak. (Could be “okay” for some stuff that is NOT connected to the internet, but not for connected terminals)
I’m agreed with your point of view! But in some cases,a small business and a little company’s , looking for alternative technology options, and Haiku is perfect! Why? Because they used office for management they own business, for connect to the internet,I see a video ,a guy fix a little things and get connect Haiku to the internet, also let me send you the video,he explained the problems with the system.
I’m sorry for all this misunderstanding, you right, try to have a communication in two different languages is hard to understand. Well Muchas Gracias for Unser my message.
I reckon the only reason a business would switch or adopt Haiku is if it were nessasary for some bespoke software package key to their business.
Tune-tracker, as the only commercial system on Haiku, is a good example of this. Their engineer is keen to make it run on Genode, another OS, and so tends to hang out on Genode forum under the handle ttcoder. It might be worth enquiring about opportunities to help Tunetracker in the Spanish speaking world, I imagine it would be quite a good market in which to offer native language tech support.
Thanks for the good and steady work on HAIKU.
Beta 5 is not working for me like the nightly before Beta 5.
But now it is again somewhat snappier and faster than before!
Thank you all involved
Looking forward to see my old “SoundBlaster live” work again!
