Good Laptop for Haiku?

Hi, I’m getting a new laptop soon and I wanted to dual boot Windows 7 and Haiku for programming. I want something that works really well with Haiku, with Audio, Wireless, and all that (Card Reader not important.) I was looking at the ThinkPad x61, but I’m wondering if there’s anything newer that would work very well with Haiku.

Hi,
I’m using a Thinkpad X200 here, and it works fine, except the card reader. Wifi, sound, video all work fine.

The T400 also works well (it’s essentially the 14" version of the same hardware). I don’t have experience with newer models, yet.

We’ve got an active Haiku compatibility list thread here on the forum that I and several other people have contributed to; try looking there to see if your laptop matches one; a link is below…

Thanks for the reply. Guess I’ll just go with the x61, the processor boost in the x200 doesn’t seem worth the bigger bezels and worse screen, plus I just used an x61 at my school earlier today and immediately fell in love with it.

There appears to be 3 places each with different info that could do with being integrated before they get too big, (so that there is just one definitive place to search).

Actually, I was wondering if the ThinkPad Twist would work with Haiku. Does anyone have confirmation on this?
