Cloud storage - cheap paid subscriptions and access from many devices.
As I had written - and @axeld as well - under Linux distros
the mounted BFS (or BeFS
) filesystems are always READ-ONLY,
so any BFS corupption happened EARLIER … under the Haiku you use.
On Haiku wiki you can find
a detailed list of Issus with actual BFS
If you find your error among those symptoms, you can find the reason.
If you are not able to do so, or you are not sure in your capacity of knowledge to decide well about it, then
–> you can search/check the tickets to find a similar one and post your evidences if that ticket still had not resolved
–> open a new ticket , if you had not found any similar (it can conlude that someone yet find similar and close it as duplicate, but at least you will know the ticket you searched for)
–> or ask about your experiencies on the forum if you are uncertain : is it worth to open a ticket about it ?
This way you can get help about your BFS issue.
Otherwise BFS “issue” can come from other source as well, depending on the type of storage drive as the different storage driver types also can have issues on your actual system (IDE , ATAPI/SCSI/ SATA / NVMe / USB / Firewire / etc.) that you can report only. This is because these drivers are generic and some chips from other vendors have some quirks in its working that deviates from standards, so the actual driver might not cover it that special way, but the standard way.
So your /var/log/syslog and /var/log/syslog.old files also can help to identify the root cause of your issue.
Also you can find help
how to register an account, and open tickets in TRAC (Haiku ticketing tool)
in Haiku User Guide.
I hope we – all who answered to you – could help you to find a way to understand better and use your Haiku system and the community’s services. ![]()
