NOTE: Recently, GHC 8.6.5 compiled and packaged for me on Haiku R1B2 x86. I reworked the existing recipes and patches for compiling GHC 8.10.3 as of Dec 30, 2020. Thanks to the previous HaikuPorts developer(s) for their previous porting of GHC. GHC 7.10.3 is currently avail in HaikuDepot.
So, GHC is currently supportable on Haiku…

ghc 8.2 is available in haikudepot now (32bit only). I need help from someone with some Haskell knowledge to adjust a patch for 8.6 (the patch for 8.2 does not apply because the code was refactored). It is probably very simple for someone who knows about writing Haskell code.
Any chance to post your patchset?
It will compile fine from the recipe without patches. But settings files will not be stored in config/settings.
