As for last time I got help/advice - in case Falkon - when I shared my debug log here, I decided to take a try in case Web (Epiphany) browser.
It does not relate to R1B5 , as it had started this year about spring time (?) … maybe a bit earlier (?)…
Haiku 64 bit R1B4 or Nightly (hrev58097) … it does not matter : both affected.
Symptom is exactly what I wrote in the title - more precisely … Web crashes - not only the affected tab - when I click on download or when confirm filename and its patn on file panel.
This looks like a problem with the mime data. Check if /boot/home/config/non-packaged/data/mime and /boot/system/non-packaged/data/mime folders exist and delete them.
~> ls -ld /boot/home/config/non-packaged/data/mime /boot/system/non-packaged/data/mime
ls: cannot access '/boot/system/non-packaged/data/mime': No such file or directory
drwxr-xr-x 1 user root 2048 ápr. 27 14:42 /boot/home/config/non-packaged/data/mime
~> rm -rf /boot/home/config/non-packaged/data/mime
~>
Seems …
FIXED ! : Download slowly* but works now in GNOME Web again.
(*slowly - I mean relatively, as from this MS service used to be fast download per 6-8 MB/sec, so the max. speed what Haiku , browsers my ISP/ router let me have here)
Finally I downloaded with Falkon, where I reached ~9 MB/sec download speed.
So something should re-wired in GNOME Web - it does not fit well to the refactored Haiku networking.
