My filesystem remounts R/O after starting a program,
like software updater, Falkon etc.
checkfs reports an error related to some log which it cannot fix.
Is there some scandisk like thing for Haiku that can fix this?
I dont want to reinstall, got loads of stuff I want to keep

guess I couldnt install it anyways since it goes R/O
Checkfs is the equivalent of scandisk. I recommend using Installer to copy your install to another partition (or temporary to an usb disk, then reformat the original partition, then use installer again to copy the files back)
Would it be possible to post the exact error message here? It would be easier then to understand what’s wrong. Do you know what happened that it ended up like this?
