Indeed, it was broken since we used layout-aware view in BAlert.
I replace this with a BTextControl in the main window.

Installer already runs makebootable. Make sure the partition is “active” if using intel partition map, and that there is avalid bootsector on the disk (either bootman or writembr can install one).
Of course uefi will eventually make this all simpler…
After I wrote that, I realized that. I’ve been in the habit of running BootManager for dual boot x86/x86-64 USB keys.
