Crash while booting. x64 Nightly

I use the nightly builds. Recently I have started getting a crash

The last successfully booting system for me is hrev58067. I am not using the dedicated R5 testing so I didn’t put this in that thread. Do I need to make a bug? Is this enough information?

Thanks

Donald

Looks similar to https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/19078.

Currently, hrev58121 is working OK (cold start/boot up/shutdown/warm restart)- on my x86 test machines.

OK, so looking at that ticket I’m not sure if it’s the same or not. If I disable ACPI I can boot fine, the person who opened that ticket still has the same issue if they do that. Anyway I’m not really sure if I have enough info to make opening a bug worthwhile. I’ll wait for that one to get resolved and see if it fixes mine.

We’ve tracked this regression to a recent ACPI change. It’s not a change that was merged into the beta5 branch, though, so it’s not going to hold up the release, at least.

Had the exact same issue, minus the nuances of different hardware. Disabled ACPI and a rollback to a stable release solved it.

The problem was fixed in hrev58140; it should be safe to update again.
