Clock and music too fast

I installed BeOS R5 from a previous install drive onto an IBM S50. Ethernet works, sound works, IDE storage works. I tried to play a song using soundplay, and it sounded too fast. Changing the playback speed to ~90% seems to help, but I also noticed the clock was going about twice as fast as my stopwatch.

Does anyone have any experience with this or ideas?

Processor is >2Ghz and the OS has timing routines that go wonky

BeOS stuff cpu_fix and system_time_patch here will fix

I think I already installed cpu_fix. I’ve done that to every install since the first, not knowing as much about it as I do now. Thanks for that.

I’ll try reinstalling it.
