I successfully compiled the BeOS screensaver Kanjisaver from HaikuArchives on x64 Haiku, and Kanjisaver is a screensaver which show random Chinese characters from Unicode on the screen.
(Don’t tell me Chinese characters, Kanji and Hanja are different. I don’t want to keep repeating this trio.)
Due to some quite negative characters sometimes appears, I may work on adding some elegant Chinese character packs as option, for example,
plants: 梅蘭菊竹桂桃櫻松柏梧桐柳荷蓮楓
periodic table: 氫氦鋰鈹硼碳氮氧氟氖鈉鎂
weather: 日月星雲風雨雷電雪霞虹霧露霜
Also I don’t know how to turn it into HPKG for distribution (Its not in Haiku depot).

If you needed to patch this I guess it would be nice to get the patches upstreamed, if things are OK I also think there are people around to help you out into making this available in the depot. Nice work (although I can’t ready any of it) 
It looks a bit strange to show such a great character…..Could you please make a Haiku on it?
Ok, make it clear, this is a BeOS screensaver created around 2000 and the creator seems treated Chinese characters as random graphics as patterns. Therefore the creator may not aware of the strange feeling from we Asians when seeing a large single character on the screen.
Unfortunately, I’m not good at C++ so what I’m able to change is quite limited.
Builds out of the bos, so making this into a package for the depot shouldn’t be a big problem, if there is interest enough for it.
