BumbleBe - It's time to revive retro messaging in 2025

I’ve just finished and released BeAIM 1.7.1 which is mostly a bugfix release.
The most notable differences are that you can now see the profile message and the away message of other users in the “Get Info” window (that feature was always there, but never worked before) and that I added two small links to the login form that allow you to register an AIM account and reset your password,so you don’t have to search for the right website to do that (only works with the default server, otherwise the links are hidden).
Besides that,I fixed a crash when deleting a group that still has buddys in it,and you can now shrink chat windows again after you made them bigger and sent/received new messages.

HPKGs for both x86 and x86_64 are available again at the Codeberg releases page.
The full changelog with all small details is also there.

If you prefer to build your own packages from source instead, you can clone the Git repository and simply run make package to produce a hpkg file that you can then install.

BeAIM is now BumbleBe,and there’s a new version 1.8.0 that brings this change into the application.
The new version doesn’t bring any changes in functionality,it’s only a rebranding as AIM is a trademark of AOL.
Note that installing BumbleBe doesn’t automatically replace BeAIM,so make sure to uninstall BeAIM after installing BumbleBe.
The preferences from BeAIM are automatically imported.
