A few weeks ago, I upgraded my Haiku PC to R1/B5 with no issues .
So this past weekend, I decided to upgrade my Haiku R1/B4 laptop. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade from what I could tell–it prompted me to reboot and I did. However, during the reboot, I encountered an error:
You may be able to exit the prompt by typing continue and hitting “enter”. But it looks like this happens on the “rocket” icon, so it could be due to something odd with your graphics driver. You can try using a “fail-safe video mode” too.
What HW Model is this Notebook, all my Notebooks work with R1beta5.
Thinkpad x301, T430, T460s, T470s, Yoga15 crashes after coldboot, but works (most of the time) after another System (Linux / Windows) was booted
It is a Dell Inspirion 1720, which the cpu, ram, and hard drives been upgraded. It had no booting issues with R1B3 or R1B4…no hardware conflicts to blacklist. Until now…R1B5 introduced some hardware conflict that is encountered on the boot process, which is a nuisance for now until hitting ‘continue’ in the KDL screen no longer works.
