BeOS Deskbar issue

Hi. I have BeOS dual-booting with Haiku. I have a couple minor issues with BeOS.

When I add things to the deskbar in BeOS (process controller, etc) they stay there during reboots. However, if I boot into Haiku, then boot back into BeOS, they disappear and only the default mail icon is the deskbar. Any ideas?

The other issue I have is that “show seconds” on the clock in BeOS doesn’t persist in any case of reboot.

It may be neither of these are resolvable, but maybe someone has dealt with this.

Is it possible Haiku is touching the BeOS bfs volume?

Haiku has to be affecting the deskbar settings file - it may be scanning for settings on all mounted volumes. Multiple BFS file systems have always been rather awkward in terms of things like that and multiple copies of apps with the same MIME etc

What era of Tracker are you using on BeOS - original, Opentracker or something else?

Regular tracker. Do you prefer OpenTracker?

Also, yes, when I unmounted Haiku, BeOS kept the deskbar icons after reboot. Not the seconds, but this is much better.
