Beginner query on sharing builds from host to vm

Hi everyone. I’ve got couple of beginner questions:

  1. I find it easy to compile applications (say WebPositive) on host computer. I could tweak processors/ram of my VM setup but on the other hand, I can also copy the binaries over to OS. How do developers usually do it who develop with VMs?

  2. Do shared folders work with Haiku? I tried to add a shared folder but it didn’t appear mounted (or in list of mounts) on my Haiku VM.

Have u tried ssh/sftp?

Yes, ssh/scp worked.

Sometimes I move things over with a thumbdrive that I can mount in the VM.
