Hi, I’m beginner in Haiku and found all related subjects on forum are <=2020
My system detect the accell as `radeon_hd`, so at least that’s not fallback driver. But game process is running over llvmpipe by using software acceleration with CPU;
So what is the current 3D acceleration state for my card? I’m trying to play OpenArena and Half-Life/Xash3D but it lags, even works well on Linux and even ARM.
Nothing changed since 2020, 3D hardware acceleration is not supported currently.
I found Mesa installed out of the box (in HaikuDepot) - is it same or I should build it from the repository?
What is the status? work with an RX550 RX580 or even R9 380 cards?
Mesa does but the drivers aren’t ported regardless. There are some experiments but nothing finalized yet.
No further 3D development for the older Radeon cards.
