Btw, don’t we need to indicate if it’s the x86 64bits version or the 32bits one on that support ?

What about “This disc is for 64 bits. Please, head to Haiku website to discover other architectures available.” ?
If you hand over CDs you would the customer not tell to go to a website!
You will much likely ask if he prefers a 64bit or a 32bit Haiku CD!
If he is not sure he should take both!
Which means the disc artwork should figure the architecture.
Anyway, if he don’t know, the most adequate architecture to give him is x86 64bits.
If he don’t know, he also don’t know about the BeOS compatibility requiring the 32bits variant. And if he don’t know, that means he don’t now his machine specific limitations, which point to the probability he has a PC not overly old, and therefore able to run 64bits.
The only case that could arise is he own a recent Mac. As the support of Apple Silicon macs is not ready yet, the artwork should state clearly it’s for x86 CPU.

People who will take a cd at a boot probably know what they need. But, once they got it installed, they may share it with someone with less knowledge about Haiku.
So the idea is to indicate the architecture and to tell them there’s much more on the website.
Same sentence will work for 32 bits or any other architecture, you just need to edit architecture name and voilà. You can even put that sentence on stickers so you can print a generic sleeve.
That’s possible but it would force me to order the disks and sleeves separately and then put the disks in the sleeves myself. I’d rather spend my time on other things, now this sounds like a job for a machine

32bit works on both. 64bit doesn’t? why 64bit then? (also not many “modern” pcs have a dvd drive in the first place, so if you target it at a dvd it seems more likely an old laptop or tower may be used to experiment with)

Good point about the DVD disc not being the most useful media for modern enough PCs.
Which make, indeed, the 32bits version more generic.
