Videos on TAResizer and Filer on my channel scheduled for 16 and 19 May.
Hot tip: You may want to double-check the default rules Filer sets up on installation. I found an error in the “Extract zip files to Desktop” one.

Thanks, Michel!
It’s fixed on master, but given that these default rules were untouched for decades and nobody noticed/reported it, I suppose it can wait for the next regular release.
I quite agree. But I think we are slowly moving into a new phase. Where in the past, everybody who was into Haiku was enough of a “developer” to fix something as miniscule as this, we are now facing a user base where everything has to work, first time.
So if you see something, report it!
Believe it or not, I always aim to have stuff work from the start.
But I hear you. I’ve bumped the Filer recipe to include this fix, just because the Filer package is quite small, so people won’t be mad when they have to update again so soon.
Also, I don’t expect much work being done on Filer in the near future, so the next update might be some time…
Some gear 25.04 updates on a roll, one of them being KGraphViewer, forgot a bit about this one, now updated from 2.4.3 to 25.04.0.
Massif Visualizer (not released), uses the library from KGraphViewer also.
Hello! Some “small” updates from me (but that keep the buildbot busy for some time for sure):
It would be nice to include release notes, WebKit is important for project
I usually do release notes for haikuwebkit. I didn’t have this on my radar however, so didn’t make any. Sorry : )
I mainly do “git merge” from upstream. There are thousands of upstream commits and I have no idea what most things are about. So I wouldn’t know what to put in release notes. Maybe some bugs are fixed. Maybe there are new features. I have no idea.
If someone has enough WebKit expertise to understand and follow what is going on, they can write release notes.
There could be release notes for the things fixed on our side in the Haiku integration, but that is 0.001% of what is changed in each release. I don’t think it is worth my time to write such incomplete release notes.
Hare, a native CD ripper application has gotten a revision bump to bring it up on the latest changes at HaikuArchives, with one of the topics being discussed and Hare being mentioned I took the chance on checking a build and managed to save CD files to disk in MP3 format, not all encoders are doing well, best bet is to use the LAME encoder.
Very nice work and changes, thank you!
Would it be possible for you to make it an Add-on?
In what way an add-on?
Right click Add-on
I don’t see the need when it’s equally quick to choose it from the Open menu… Please open a ticket if you disagree.
