AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8 Core

Hello from me after long time being away from Haiku. I got a new machine and installed Haiku on it:

Version: hrev57937+129 R1/beta5 (x86_64)

16 Processors, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8 Core@3.60 GHz

32 GB RAM

Except WiFi everything is working fine. The AMD graphics driver is Framebuffer, but it works and I can watch video in full screen. I can use the loudness keys on my Corsair keyboard as well. I connect to the LAN with ethernet cable.

I’m happy with it, to have a good working Haiku. I installed Nextcloud client, Librewolf and Libreoffice. Now I can do my daily tasks even with the integrated Nextcloud, which is running on a Raspberry Pi 4B with 8GB RAM.

I use Haiku as my daily driver and only have to reboot into Nobara Linux to play World of Warcraft.

Hello from a fellow Ryzen 7 (happy) user daily driving Haiku. :+1:

Also hello from Ryzen 7.

Motherboard: MSI B450-A PRO.

Network and sound are working. Framebuffer (sadly, no 4k). Walter unstable for daily use. Some apps not working properly. I should probably install Beta 5 too…

Name and “shame” them (specially accompanied with their error messages, if any), because, while some breeakage can be expected in nightlies… things should still worlk in the end.

Bonus points for opening tickets on the right place (Haiku’s Trac or HaikuPorts)
