For you new kids who may have discovered Haiku and wonder what BeOS was as well as you other kids who may forget why we pine for BeOS’ legacy in the future of Haiku.

I remember well, and bought BeOS5 Pro when it came out and it became the OS, for my first computer I built. I still use it today though with hardware upgrades it lost the ability to boot up BeOS long ago, but do have a copy of Haiku on its own drive.

I still have BeOS MAX and PhOS b6 installed on a couple of old machines and use them occasionally. BeOS is still a joy to use in most respects, apart from missing a modern web browser it’s still highly usable and better than most other things out there.
