Please open a ticket about it at Haiku’s Trac then attach the listdev, listusb etc. outputs to it as text files.
It’s the best way to report such issues, as the devs can more easily work on it there.

R1B5 is out for a long time, what stopped producing sound?

i don’t know what’s wrong.

when i run into freebsd, it be ok while i run “sudo sysctl hw.snd.default_unit=3”

so, is it the same problem with haiku?

From a quick search that seems to just choose the default output to use. Have you tried playing with the media preferences? You can choose the audio output and channel in audio settings, if there’s more than one, and check and change the levels for each physical output in HD audio or whatever the driver may be.

i switch into R1~beta5+development hrev59687 .

also useless.

ok

it may be no full hdmi support that haiku can not play sound out.

while i use axu-line, it can work.

Sound should work but HDMI sound is not implemented. So, you would have to use indeed another output.

only one “output 0”

I was meaning another physical output, like speakers or headphones output.

My monitor has a built-in speaker.
I guess it gets the audio signal through its HDMI port.
Haiku can’t handle it.
When I connect an aux cable to an external speaker, it works.
