I’m a BeOS user from the olden days. I was there when SCSI support came to BeOS 4.5. I was there when Be went public. I was there when they made several sudden shifts in direction and it all fell apart. I helped write news articles for BeNews dot com, and was there when BeUnited was formed and OpenBeOS began. I was there for WalterCon 2004 (be there or be trout-slapped). And then I walked away for personal reasons (my life fell apart) and have been only an occasional spectator ever since. I have an old junk PC and an old PPC Mac Clone running BeOS, but I almost never boot them. Nothing newer will boot a Haiku disc for installation. I’m no longer interested in being a tech guy. And yet, I still care about Haiku, so here I am… sometimes.
