Xitami webserver for Haiku with SSL Support

Hi All,

Xitami for Haiku now has full working Secure HTTPS and Secure FTPS integration.

32/64bit Supported.
Download pre-built binary here

Would love to have people test this and report any crashes/bugs/concerns/questions to me. I will be glad help answer any questions if possible.

If you want to build from source which is super easy …

git clone https://github.com/ablyssx74/xitami
cd ./xitami
./xibuild
# Enter Username and Password when prompted
./xitami
# To clean a build run:
./xiclean

Quick How to:

Download xitami64bit.zip or xitami32bit.zip
Unzip and open terminal and run ./xitami
Open Firefox or WebPositive to http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1
There you can see the old xitami start page.

To Test Secure HTTPS
Open http://localhost/admin and enter username: HaikuUser password: test
Navigate to Advanced and turn on SSL
SSL key and cert required and for testing off localhost you can generate them like so

openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes \
    -keyout privkey.pem -out cert.pem -days 365 -subj "/CN=localhost"

Click Save then click Restart, no need to stop xitami from terminal .. simply click restart on the Admin Browser Window
Then open FireFox to https://localhost - WebPositive to my experience does not support locally signed certs so you have to test with Firefox

To test secure FTPS open FileZilla to localhost username: Upload password: upload port 21

Hi @phoudoin I will be happy to, but I’m a little confused. What first post may I ask? This one? Or this one Xitami webserver running on x86_gcc2 - #3 by ablyss ?

Well, this one. Just by adding “webserver” in the title for instance.
I just did.
