It looks like we’re nearly even with Team Norway right now - that means there’s an extremely high likelihood that we could have 14th place tonight!
It’s been quite a while since we took 15th place - as we get closer to the top, it will get increasingly more difficult to climb ranks. This is a great milestone!
If we want to continue improving our stats we need to increase our total production back to at least 100 Mcems /s.
I am a new member of the team ( running the client for two days now, currently in 45th place ) and would like to ask what happens if you lose a test ? ( i lost a test when a computer rebooted)

If you’re on a windows machine, you maybe didn’t “lose” the test - but rather the registry just didn’t get updated with the k/n pair values. There is a residue file that resides in the sb directory for each test that has been started - it’s a file with a name like “z1234567” - where the number represents the n part of the k/n pair. This residue can be used to continue the test from where it stopped, but it requires editing the registry and restarting the client.
If you’re on windows, you’ll also want to make use of sobsvc.exe to set everything up to run from a service - it’s a little funky to get going (like you actually have to specifiy NOT to auto-start with windows in the config) but once it’s going, it’s set-and-forget.
If you want to drop the test that you “lost” - you may by going into the seventeenorbust.com website, logging into your account, and expiring the test from the “Pending tests” section. Eventually (after ~90 days with no update) the test will drop itself and you’ll lose any work credit you generated from it.
Awesome! :) Good job everyone. Let's get going after lucky no. 13 now...
I think that in order to get 13th, either zgeek.com will have to drop production down significantly, or we’ll have to beat Russia currently at 3.5.
This means we’re likely needing to achieve nearly 4P before we gain 13th - assuming zgeek.com doesn’t fall…
From 1P to 2P took ~3 months - and it appears that from 2P to 3P may take a little longer than that - so we may not get there until maybe February/March of 2007 unless we get more power!
