Will Haiku work on my hardware?

As I mentioned I want to try Haiku how ever I have no idea if it will suport all of my devices. I know that it does not suport the 360 controler witch is a shame as it puts emmlators out of the question. I don’t know how to do this so I will just ring it and if possible post it on Haikuware if they work.
I have a two computers that I want to run Haiku on:
desktop:
Memory:867.7 MiB
Processor: AMD Athlon™ Processor LE-1640
Grahics card:Gallium 0.4 on NV4C
Keyboard: Emachines kb0511
Mouse: grey PS/2 HP mo42kob optical mouse with track whell.

I checked on the haikuware site and none of my hardware is on there, but do you guys think that Haiku will work on it anyway. Thank you for your time.

Hello. Really, I cant assure that your hardware will work; however, Haiku has improved his compatibility with a lot of different hardware.

My recommendation is: download the image and try booting. If you had any error, please ask about in this forum. There are some “tricks” if you can’t boot normally.

Please, send us your feedback :slight_smile:

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

I have Haiku installed and it was ok, but now it is starting to bug out. I noticed that Netpositive does not dectect my mouse as the two side buttons do nothing where on Linux and Windows they move forward and backword in the web browser. I also noticed that my network card did not work, but the built in one did. I also noticed that the Function butons did not work on any of my keyboards. I also noticed losts of issues with Netpossive. I know that it is old, but come on. The first one is that netpositive is so slow and offten closes or opens off screen and I have to use the workspace switch to pull it out. Netpositive also is verry slow and clearing the cookies and history does not help at all and haikuware refuses to even load up and says some thing about a server url error and it is not even in an haiku format. I tried pluging in my PS2 eye toy via USB and Bodycam does not reconize it at all. I tried to use google drive and while I could download programs I could not upload them as it gave me “can not connect to server” error even though I am connectecd to the server. I also couldn’t install any programs from haikuware and each one of them just gives me some dependacy type error. I know that haiku is still in alpha. I hope they relase the new version of Netpositve that suports HTML 5 in Alpha 5.

@Linuxgamer94
you tried Netpositive or Webpositive? Try webpositive, it should work better
