We are currently experiencing daily wiki spam on at least 3 pages (I suspect they’re linked from external sites - creating more visibility).
Currently, there is little we can do other than revert it when it occurs, but as proposed here:

Maybe we should alter the registration process to prevent bots from registering anonymously and repeatedly with no restrictions or roadblocks.
I don’t know a lot about MediaWiki, but I assume there is some level of “moderator” status that can be assigned to some of the more common contributors? Having the option of locking some pages, or moderating registration would probably be a good thing as the wiki gets more traffic.
Ultimately, I would suspect the wiki will be replaced with something new when the new website finally gets released - but until then, we need something to retain our sanity
