Webpositive is now GONE

A utility to manage states would be nice. Something that lets one delete old ones, add notes to them (like, “first time x device worked” or “x is broken in this release”), and maybe select one to boot from so people don’t have to beat on the keyboard to get the menu.

My first computer had a cassette…took forever to load something.

My 98SE/XP machine was from 1999 and had 20 gigs, I’d guess yours was in that range as well (20 to 40 were the common sizes)

I said it was an old habit, never said it was a good habit

Yes please

FYI…64 bit (Beta5 and Daily) seem to be working correctly now (no conflict message). However, I am still seeing the conflict message on 32 bit…

32bit buildmaster is stuck on “waiting for package … to be activated” sind the libsdl2_net update:

Can’t do much untill rav1e is build there :frowning:

8-bit CPUs and 48K should be enough for anybody!

Same people who have said that were already talking about IA…

I was just thinking that too!

What is “IA”?

Intel Architecture?

French for AI, sorry. It stands for « Intelligence Artificielle »

I’ve been thinking about working on this exact thing after I’m done with the patch I’m currently working on, so if people have specific ideas about how such a thing should work I’d love to hear them . . . one thing I don’t see mentioned is fully rolling back to a prior state instead of just temporarily booting one, which is a function I plan for it to have.

rav1e and friends are being pushed/merged atm, so maybe hold off on updating if you see errors while doing so, once libavif is merged and build, most things should be fine, I’ll post here once all is done.

UPDATE: packages have been build, updating should be good, if something pops up in regard of updating please comment.
