WebKit on Haiku?

Hi all,
I’ve got a HTML5/Javascript application that I’ve written, and it runs on Adobe AIR, PhoneGap etc. I’d kind of like to see it run on Haiku, but this means I’d need to be able to embed a WebKit control into a Haiku application.

A couple of questions:

  1. Is there a way to make a Haiku app with a WebKit control in it?
  2. What IDE is a good place to start?
  3. Is it worth bothering with QT on Haiku?

Thanks!

Garry

I have only enough knowledge to say that the IDE that you want to use, if you want to develop in haiku, is Paladin. It is obtained via this command

installoptionalpackage paladin

QT is probably the only way right now… however I don’t think QT is currently updated for the latest versions of Haiku… not sure.

WebPositive is WebKit based, but for now (as you can see) not work neither as a replicant as a class embeddable on the Interface Kit (as you can with QWebWidget for example); you’ve to use QT on Haiku (blasphemy IMHO!) or to way WebPositive is completed…

Qt is not blasphemy, it is training wheels
