I had to re-read my post to which yours was a reply to as this was quite sometime ago.
Essentially, I was stressing the need for a well publicized repository for applications so that any visitor to Haiku would know where to find desired applications (if ported).
Since the time of the original discussion, there are a few individuals who had existing repositories and archival web sites and indicated so to the community. A few individuals also created repositories such as BeBytes. Unfortunately, such personal sites do tend to move once-in-a-while requiring to call Google to find them again for us.
