IIrc this is done with the haikudepot server, so not in the packageinfo/recipe itself but suplemental data… I’m not sure how to get an account or where to use it with, but @apl should know.
Ok, thanks. Not urgent, I was always wondering how, as I saw for instance that the hpkg for Sanity had a custom icon, the app icon, was looking like magic.
Hello; If the HPKG binary payload contains a single application executable with an HVIF icon then the HDS system will extract the icon from that and use it; otherwise the icon has to be added via the HDS web user interface by an administrator.
HDS is unfortunately not yet integrated into the Haiku SSO system. You can however make an account here. Afterwards, contact me on here and let me know the package you are maintaining and I will sort out access.
