The wiki has been updated with a new navigation structure ââ¬â hopefully it is easier and more visually opinion. http://haiku-os.org/wiki/
Will a forum account work with the Wiki, or do I need to make a seperate account?

It currently requires a separate account.
Will that change in the future? I understand that the wiki and forum are separate systems, but if it were possible, it would be nice to have a single login for both. Besides the technical issues, I am curious what the reasoning is to have two separate accounts in order to fully participate in the Haiku web site. I also understand that this forum may not be the best place to discuss this issue. I just curious.
Thanks in advance.

There has been recent talk on the mailing list about the “purpose” for the forums and wiki recently - so it’s probably best to wait-and-see what will happen.
Technically, there are now 3 login systems for the Haiku-os.org site - the website itself (drupal login) which is also integrated with the bug tracking system (Trac) - the forums (phpbb login) and the wiki (mediawiki login).
There has been some desire expressed by some of the haiku admins/staff that the wiki/forums should be considered “non-official” community resources that are not directly tied to the official site. This may possibly mean they get placed on a “community.haiku-os.org” url, or whatever - it hasn’t really been defined yet.
I suspect the reason for not having "single-sign-in" system for the forums and wiki to-date is mostly the technical issues coupled with the lack of strong focus on them from the core haiku team.
There are some things in the works, so hopefully some of this will clear up soon
