The ongoing genAI debate, vol. 1

My feelings are not the point. I am tired of seeing the devs (yes, I am one) being painted as aggressive, while others get a pass and are called unfairly prosecuted when their worse aggression is met with moderation response. Why the double standard?

From Anthropic’s own docs:

So if it gets “distracted” you’re out of luck.

Now time to call people out (in non-moderator capacity unless explicitly noted):

@3dEyes

:thinking:

What happened to that? Maybe people writing AI assisted software should not be offended by others calling their software “slop”? Or does that rule only work one way?

@X512

You need to stop blaming your communication blunders on

You called people working on some part of this project incompetent, pretending to strive for some objective analysis of the failure, while ignoring the context of that work. Then you wrote an ode to your intellectual capability, ignoring years of effort that allowed your work to go smoothly.

<moderation hat on>
You want to perform failure analysis? Start with your own.

Since you are so capable, you will succeed, and I don’t want to hear you excuse your behavior with “language and cultural differences” again. You’ve been here long enough.
</moderation hat off>

I am also tired of your smug attitude. If you feel attacked by this, remember:
