[SOLVED] BePodder - clicking on link doesn't launch browser

I’ve been trying out BePodder on my Haiku hrev57937+129.

It works fine when I download, say, an audio podcast. However when I click on a url to jump to a story on say the BBC News feed, the browser doesn’t launch. I get an “An OS error occurred: No such file or directory. OK” error message. When I click “OK” in response, the programmer’s editor pe launches with an empty “untitled” editing window.

However if I right click on the url and copy paste it into Floorp, the browser shows the relevant page so the url is working fine.

I’ve checked BePodder’s Preferences>FileType>Browser and it is set on “Browser: System default” and I’ve set Floorp to be the default app for http and https in Haiku’s FileTypes preference.

Could someone point out what I’m doing wrong, please? Thanks.

I realised that the reason that pe launched was because it was the default app for opening HTML files. So I went to Haiku’s Preferences>FileTypes, and changed the default app for handling text>HTM file from pe to Floorp.
After I’d done this, choosing “open URL” from the context menu for the title of a particular article in BePodder now launches the relevant web page in Floorp.
