I would like to install BeOS on this system, but it seems that it is somehow not supported:…
Athlon64 3000+
768 DDR Ram (+256 VRAM)
GeForce FX 5600 (256 VRAM) (AGP)
100 GB HDD (Western Digital)
MSI K8T800Neo MoBo
Dvd drive by LG and a Dvd writer by Lite-On
Realtek 8139(PCI) and 8169(on-board)
Anything else needed? I’ll provide.
The problem is: BeOSMax won’t boot with any options
Zeta installs, but has massive problems
PE doesn’t boot (because of 1 Gig RAM)
Regarding Zeta:
Zeta Neo boots, but can access only my BFS partition, nothing else - removables not either. If I install the Service Pack, then it is able to access also removables with BFS, but still not vfat and so on. Network cards aren’t detected either, nor 8139, nor 8169. BeShell reports not being able to access a pty. DriveSetup won’t work (not an executable)
What should I do? I want to contribute …
Or just post QEmu options to start BeOS PE5 (Windows edition)
And the most funny thing: everything except the network works when I boot the installation and use ‘restart desktop’…

Thanks in advance
RAM limiting bootloader. The OS is unable to load any addons, and that includes the network drivers, filesystem addons, and the pseudoterminal drivers (pty)…
Restart Desktop would flush Trackers addon cache… you’d be able to do some stuff but Tracker addons would probably start to fail
If your disk is a S-ATA one this may be the problem. In my BIOS you can enable legacy mode for S-ATA, which will turn S-ATA into normal IDE that is recognised by BeOS. Maybe you have something similar?
