R1 beta 4 y r1 beta 5 en 32 y 64 bytes no arranca se cuelga en arranque.
Is this a new installation?
The erorr “did not found any boot partitions” means the kernel is confused where it is booting from.
If this is an updated installation:
Did it work before?
If it is try smashing the “space” bar at the start, and then select a previous haiku version in the bootloader, and then report which one worked and which one doesn’t.
r1beta1 is quite old, do you have software/data you want to keep? if not you might consider getting a fresh r1beta5 on a usb stick and to try and boot that

Have you tried booting a nightly release as the the issue stopping beta5 from booting may have been resolved since it was released back in September 2024. You can download the nightly releases via this link: https://download.haiku-os.org/

In the r1 beta 5 in x32 y x64 no load error kernel panic, is terrible r1 beta 1 whit 4 GB RAM is very fast…but no internet whit sis ethernet and wify atheros…drivers Nvidia 930 and Intel is blocked in the BIOS but used plop USB for sustition the BIOS oficial and sort this problem but no roolz r1beta 5

After I was red this thread I became curious about this Asus machine so I searched, and I opened first – among the results – the Gentoo wiki page.
The user who wrote the article about your hardware wrote the following interesting remark :
Wired network doesn’t work perfectly by default. MTU need to be set to 1492 instead of the default 1500 to work. I don’t know why. This problem happens with systemresc cd, Ubuntu and every Linux distribution I tried.
So if you could setup this MTU setting in R1B1, then the ethernet connection might work for Haiku as well. Then you could upgrade to any hrevXXXXX, especially if you change to Nightly repos.
No, you cannot upgrade to nightly or r1beta5 from r1beta1 via a network connection.
It is possible to upgrade this way, but it requires the installer images of beta2, beta3 and potentially beta4 and is a huge headache and manual process. I would not recomend attempting it.
The syslog to be written to display should be enabled in the bootloader menu,
and also there - select to switch off syslog paging. Then that way continue with booting …
Then you could share usable infos with the uploaded screenshots – for example where interrupted … if you do not reach the desktop.

Hi guys, I finally managed to install Debian 13 Trixie on the Asus X71SL using the pci=nomsi command in the GRUB bootloader. After that, I had to install this command on the hard drive itself to avoid having to do it on every boot. After installing the distro, I noticed that the SiS 191 Ethernet has issues, so I had to use a USB Ethernet adapter. After that, I downloaded updates from the repositories.
However, I still want to use Haiku on this machine because it feels slow with its 4 GB of RAM, so I hope you can give me some guidance on how to emulate this command during the Haiku installation. I haven’t been able to install the Haiku nightlies on this computer, much less R1 Beta 5, because I would need to be able to bypass the MSI instruction check at boot, and I don’t know how to emulate pci=nomsi in the Haiku bootloader.
