This may be dumb of me to ask, but are ther currently any beos native apps, say from bebits, that work on haiku? Any examples?
So far, I have been able to use the following programs (not w/o little quirks, but they do work):
Vision (http://bebits.com/app/2623)
CL-Amp (http://bebits.com/app/52)
CoveredCald (skinnable calculator - download)
2ch+ (Japan’s 2ch BBS client - download)
KEdit (http://bebits.com/app/1323)
I am sure there are other apps that work in Haiku, but don’t raise your hopes too quickly, as the code is still alpha and things can and will break from time to time.
Perhaps others can post their success stories here?
Pe actually opens and loads files on my Haiku system. Aside from that though, its currently not much use for anything serious! Quirky as they come but…:o)
In other words, a <a http://www.reactos.org/support/>compatibility database-like webfunction could be usefull…

If you’re running a fairly recent build (>19960) and you can get your hands on the BeOS Max Edition CD (or BeOS5PEMaxEditionV31b1.iso if you’re running vmware), it has a boat load of apps. Note, earlier builds like 19840 cannot mount the CD. I was able to mount the iso via vmware, browse to /BeOS 5 PE Max Edition V3.1 beta/beos/apps and actually run netpositive. It’s a bit of a gamble really and don’t be surprised if you end up with a kernel panic or your system freezes.
