Once again we move up the ladder. Now we’ve hit position 35.
As Togs and Umcollough has already noted, we also seem to increase production and have gained another slot in last days production, which shows promise to our future climb.
At the end of the week or monday next week we might have squeezed another one… things simply look promising.
Regarding Last days production however. We’re far from the fastest team. If we become some more crunchers we might become the 4th fastest team… which would be delightful. Hope some more join us… but from there to slot 3 is a loooong way.
I noticed that too. Dutch Power Cows in 4th are crunching at double our speed, with roughly 80 active members. TH has 19 active members (I’m going by Last Day rate on the team roster).
So DPC have four times our number to crunch at twice the speed. Someone will need to correct my math, but if we double our number, we’d be crunching equally with only half the members on average.

Is that right?
Or you could say, if we just get 3,5x as much production as now we’re the fastest team of them all. I hardly find this impossible to do… especially not if we get some media on it…

It depends on production amounts. Minbari accounts for a lot of our rate.
If we could add about three more of him we would be there.
Having extra members is always important because in general it increases the chance of hitting a prime whether by increased rate or by numbers of test being done simultaneously. I would be happy if we met the same rate with 120 active members.
After a few weeks uptime it was time to reboot due to many configuration changes, so now I'm running at 300K instead of 600K :(
It’ll take a few days I guess before I’ll be steaming ahead again… I liked those 600K
You should be back at full speed immediately actually - unless you were given a different k/n combo when SoB restarted and it happens to be a slower one.
(are you using Windows? – if so, there’s a “bug” where it doesn’t resume because of a missing registry key after initial installation - I can help you resolve that if that’s the case)
Otherwise, if your machine was offline for a period of time, the last day’s rate will level back out after 24 hours – right?
It is configured to quit after having completed a test (takes about 1ý day typically) and last time I started it, after having completed a test, it actually worked at a higher speed.
Perhaps it’s one of these slower k/n combos? But it’s weird considering my work rate has been increasing steadily since the beginning. It’s never been this slow before.
current k: 33661
current n: 4636296
EDIT:
I was ‘offline’ for 3 hours, so it will level out over 24 hours. But it doesn’t change the fact that it’s going to slow down somewhat…
